    Job Description
    Position Overview:
    Professional Boat Sales Associate will assists customers with selecting a variety of products including boats, boat accessories, motors and trailers that best meet their needs. Boat sales involve the selling of new and used boats to prospective buyers. The primary responsibility of a boat sales specialist is to ensure that all sales targets for boats are met and exceeded.
    A boat sales specialist recommends different types of boats to customers as per their needs and specifications. Other important duties include meeting assigned sales quota, preparing and implementing a marketing plan in order to increase sales, and communicating responses to customers in a timely manner. The job also involves a thorough understanding of purchase and sales contracts as well as listing and deposit requirements
    Understanding and communication of retail financing options and processes associated with boats, trailers, motors and other products as needed.
    Remains current on & adheres to all selling skills training & direction. Work cooperatively with the Service Department to see that delivery to the customer is seamless.
    Obtain, manage and share sales leads using IDS Prospect Management screens on a daily basis, specifically entering new customers and conducting follow up activities with customers before and after the sale. Provide customer service support as needed.
    Other Duties as Assigned by Management
    For a boat sales job, a bachelor’s degree is preferred, though not mandatory. Previous marine selling experience is desirable. Other prerequisites of the job are good oral and written communication, computer and negotiation skills.
