Dewey Short/Kim City/Shell Knob areas

With the temperatures dropping this week, fish will probably begin moving into their fall habits. Try using topwater or spinnerbaits early in the morning in main channels and points within larger coves. Locate structure 8 to 22 ft. 2'-4' below the surface.

Largemouth appear to be in deeper waters running 30 to 40 ft. deep either on the bottom or slightly suspended. Fisherman are catching fish on flats and near the main channel near points and drop offs. The best colors for bait seem to be purple and watermelon. Stick with 4" Zoom worms.

As always, keep your eye on shad running in deep water over flats and structure to find the most action.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land.  It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.  ~Chuck Clark
