Lake Area Weather
The
breathtaking scenery and spectacular beauty of the Ozark Mountains surrounding
Table Rock Lake thrill visitors year round.
An annual must for many is a “fall color cruise.” Ash and maple trees
seem to be on
fire among the multi-colored trees of gold and bronze. Even they are set
off by the many
shades of green from the evergreens. The reflection of the color on the
lake is truly
breathtaking.
Table Rock Lake is known for its mild winters and a lake that never
freezes.
However, occasionally Mother Nature endows the Ozarks with a spectacular
snowfall that,
to the dismay of many children, is short-lived.
With spring comes the blooming of the red buds, dogwoods and other
flowering trees,
plants and bushes. Visitors are in awe of the serenity and beauty.
Temperatures are such
that you will undoubtedly catch Ozark “spring fever.”
The summers are lush with more shades of green than you can imagine.
The warm
temperatures draw many visitors to the beautiful lake. With hundreds
of miles of
shoreline, it never seems crowded and there is always a quiet cove
for special enjoyment.
Precipitation is largely in the form of rain. The average total
rainfall per year is 40
inches. The average snowfall is 10.1 inches. Snowfalls are usually
1” to 4” and generally
melt in a day or two. It is usually dry the latter part of June
or the first part of July until
mid-August. It is often said if you don’t like the weather, “wait
five minutes.”
