Faith Community Health Center
- Health Care-Medical Clinic
Faith Community Health is a nonprofit, charitable clinic, serving uninsured and underinsured residents and employees in Stone and Taney counties with income-based, affordable healthcare. These people are not eligible for Medicaid, and most lack access to medical care or medical insurance such as Obamacare. Many use costly emergency visits for treatment when what they need is an affordable primary care provider.
The faith-based, healthcare clinic offers medical, vision and dispensary services. Our mission is “providing access to affordable healthcare and promoting wellness of spirit, mind and body of the underserved who live or work in our community.” FCH was established to provide a safety net of affordable healthcare to those living and working in this area.
The clinic opened in March 2010 in the former Branson elementary school. Our whole-person vision of care evolved into a multi-disciplinary model involving primary care providers, pharmacists, optometrists, wellness and disease prevention education.
Through the clinic’s new program, FaithCare, FCH is building partnerships with area employers to provide direct healthcare services for their uninsured workers. FaithCare services will improve workforce development by making medical and KwikCare visits available to members for just $10. Prescription services also are available to FaithCare members for $10 per month. Employers pay a $29 subscription fee monthly for each uninsured employee enrolled in FaithCare.
