Silver Dollar City's Young Christians' Weekend

(Branson, Missouri 3/1/19)      Billed as “The Ultimate 3-Day Youth Event,” Silver Dollar City’s Young Christians’ Weekend (YCW), April 5-7, is designed to bring youth groups together in Branson, Missouri for three days of worship, learning and fun at one of America’s top 10 theme parks.  Starting in 1975, YCW has gained notoriety throughout America’s heartland with hundreds of thousands of youth having attended over the years, culminating in an approximate annual attendance of 15,000 attendees as it enters its 45th season.

This year’s lineup of top Christian recording artists includes American Idol Top 7 finisher Colton Dixon and contemporary group After Grace kicking off the event Friday evening in Echo Hollow Amphitheatre; three Saturday concerts featuring Grammy and Dove Awards Nominee Britt Nicole, along with Citizen Way and speaker Travis Rosen, contestant on American Ninja Warrior; and two Sunday worship services with eight-time Grammy nominee Matt Maher, North Point InsideOut and a special message by Joe White, President of Kanakuk Camps.

Deeply rooted in the culture of the internationally-awarded 1880s-style theme park, Young Christians’ Weekend stemmed from a vision of Silver Dollar City founders to share a mission of operating in a manner consistent with Christian values and ethics.  Today it is one of the longest-running and largest-attended events of its kind in the country where kids come together to be encouraged, entertained and inspired.  Along with concerts in Echo Hollow, workshops and Christian music are available throughout the park on Saturday.
