It’s All About the Kids: Rodeo Fun at Stone County Event Center Arena

Stone County Event Center ArenaFor DeeDee and James Burk, owners of Stone County Event Center Arena, rodeo isn’t just a sport—it’s a way of life that brings people and animals together in the best kind of way. Now in its eighth year, the Arena has become a beloved hub for rodeo enthusiasts of all ages in Stone County.

James and DeeDee’s passion for the rodeo community shines through in every event hosted at the arena. From first-timers to seasoned competitors, Stone County Event Center Arena offers opportunities for everyone to participate, grow, and have fun. What truly sets this arena apart is its commitment to the next generation. “It’s all about the kids,” says DeeDee. “They are the future of our sport, and we support and encourage every one of them.”

The Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce has played a meaningful role in the journey. “The Chamber has supported us from day one!!! Thanks for believing in us!!!!!” DeeDee shares enthusiastically. While she admits they haven’t used every Chamber tool just yet, she’s quick to add that recognition and support—especially from Chamber staff like Michelle—have made a lasting impact.

Reflecting on the unexpected growth of her business, DeeDee offers this heartfelt piece of advice to others: “We never ever thought it would grow the way it has!!!!” And that success, she believes, all circles back to focusing on what matters most: the kids and the community.
