Fifteen years ago, Pat and Wendie Dooley looked at a worn-down lakeside property and saw not what it was—but what it could be. Today, Dooley’s Resort & Chapel is a thriving, heartwarming retreat tucked into the Ozark Mountains, overlooking the tranquil waters of Table Rock Lake. What began as a diamond in the rough has become a beloved destination for families, couples, and generations of guests who return year after year.
Dooley’s is more than a place to stay—it’s a place to come home to. Guests can choose from 15 cozy cabins, unwind in the Adirondack-style lodge with soaring ceilings and a stone fireplace, or explore the property’s hiking trails and scenic lake views. The resort is built on connection—between people, nature, and memories—and offers everything from lakeside fishing and boating to campfire sing-alongs led by Pat himself.
But what truly sets Dooley’s apart is its heartfelt hospitality and the addition of its crown jewel: Dooley’s Chapel & Event Center. Nestled in the woods, this intimate venue offers indoor and outdoor ceremony options and was designed with thoughtful details and love in mind. The Chapel is made to feel special with its he beautiful view of Table Rock Lake and the Ozark Mountains from its floor to ceiling Chapel windows.

The Dooleys credit much of their success to the support of the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce. From media exposure and business classes to resort roundtables and personalized marketing guidance, the Chamber has been a constant partner in their journey. “Thanks to the Chamber, we’ve not only grown our business—we’ve grown our community,” says Wendie.
When asked for advice, the couple offers this wisdom: “Make space for growth and grace. Be prepared, stay flexible, and never forget your ‘why.’ The right people, a strong team, and the love that started it all will carry you through.”
