From the Dock to the Table: The Story of Pier 28 Pizza & Grill

The Morris Family Pier 28 Pizza and Grill

For the past five years, Gary and Sally Morris have been the proud owners of Pier 28 Pizza & Grill, a floating restaurant on Table Rock Lake at Port of Kimberling. With more than 20 years in the local food scene, the couple has created a one-of-a-kind lakeside experience that’s equal parts delicious and welcoming.  Gary and Sally's daughter Meredith and husband Kevin serve as the General Managers working in the family business for years.

Known for its lake casual, family-friendly vibe, Pier 28 can seat over 200 guests and offers boat parking for up to 30 boats—plus plenty of vehicle parking, making it an easy choice for both lake-goers and locals. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing carryout after a long day on the water, Pier 28 has become a favorite stop for great food and relaxed atmosphere.

As active members of the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce, Gary and Sally appreciate the many ways the Chamber supports their business. “The Chamber is a great source of knowledge,” they said, noting its help with everything from demographics to labor laws and community events. They especially value advertising opportunities in the Lake Map, Community Guide, and Vacation Guide, which help them reach tourists, weekenders, and locals alike.

Their advice to other businesses? “Join the Chamber. Use their tools. Absorb everything you can related to our community and business in general,” Gary said. “Being a member keeps you in the loop on important local, state, and federal issues—and adds a level of professionalism that matters to your customers.”

Pier 28 Pizza & Grill is more than just a place to eat—it's a Table Rock Lake tradition, thanks to the dedication of Gary and Sally Morris and their commitment to great food, friendly service, and strong community ties.
