Fireburst FAQs

Fireburst will start at dark.  It is recommended to be in place for viewing by 8:30 p.m.  In the case of incoming inclement weather, the fireworks show may begin early or be rescheduled.

Where to Watch

• Hundreds of boats gather to watch Fireburst.  It is advised you arrive and are in place by 8:30 p.m.  Looking north, if you can see the Kimberling City Bridge, you can see the fireworks.  Immediately following the Fireburst firworks show, Lakeside Resort located to the south of Fireburst will have their own fireworks show.  It’s a fun way to wait out the heavy traffic leaving the area after Fireburst.

Start Time

• It is recommended to be in place by 8:30 p.m.

Boating at Night

• All vessels shall display from sunset to sunrise proper navigational lights when underway, and during such time no other lights, continuous spotlights or docking lights, or other non-prescribed lights shall be exhibited.
• Personal watercraft may not be operated between sunset and sunrise unless equipped with proper navigational lights.

Canoeing/Kayaking

• Federal law requires a Coast Guard approved, wearable life jacket for everyone onboard, of the proper size, in good condition, and readily accessible. Children under seven years of age must wear a USCG approved PFD at all times on board any vessel.
• A white flashlight or lantern must be displayed between sunset and sunrise and during times of restricted visibility

To promote a safe and memorable Fireburst event Friday July 1, 2022, the Kimberling City Police Department would like to share the traffic control plan for before and after the event.

• 8:30PM – 10PM ON JULY 1^ST – HIGHWAY 13 AND KIMBERLING BLVD WILL BE THE ONLY ROADS MOVING NORTH/SOUTH (GREEN – TRAFFIC MARKINGS)
• FIREBURST EVENT VIEWERS SHOULD PLAN TO BE IN PLACE BY 8:30PM—Limited parking is available at the Kimberling City Shopping Center and Harter House.
• CITIZENS WHO RESIDE NORTH OF THE VIEWING AREA SHOULD PARK ON NORTH SIDE OF PARKING LOT.
• CITIZENS WHO RESIDE SOUTH OF THE VIEWING AREA SHOULD PARK ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF PARKING LOT.
• FEEDER STREETS AND PARKING LOTS WILL BE CLOSED AT 8:30PM FOR ENTRY AND EXIT FROM AND TO HIGHWAY 13 UNTIL 10PM AND/OR TRAFFIC CLEARS. (RED MARKINGS)

If everyone is patient and plans accordingly for arrival and departure, the exit of downtown Kimberling City and the surrounding areas will flow with ease.
