Description
Come to a FREE Caregiver Resources Workshop sponsored by The Gathering Place, a faith-based, inter-denominational support group for men and women in our area who are currently caring for family members, neighbors and friends or who foresee becoming caregivers in the near future.
During the past year The Gathering Place members have shared not only their joys and challenges but have also walked together on their caregiving journey. Along the way, many questions and concerns have been shared that all caregivers will eventually encounter, regardless of their care receivers circumstances.
This Workshop will bring together local resources to answer these important questions and concerns. The subjects and speakers for this workshop will include:
- Information on how to begin the process of obtaining Veterans Benefits
- A Care Manager will speak on what you need to know before considering a move to Assisted Living or a Skilled Nursing Facility
- An Elder Law Attorney will help to educate caregivers on what Elder Law planning brings to the family
- A Hospice representative will explain how hospice not only supports the care receiver but also the caregiver and their family
There will be time after the presentations for caregivers to visit one-on-one with the speakers and additional community resources as well as obtain more information about the services represented.
We hope the community will join us for this brief, beneficial workshop on April 14th. Together we will all make a difference in the lives of our family, friends and neighbors.
